Samantha Lee, founder of Flour Fancies Inc., discovered her talent in cakes design while looking for a different career option. Formerly an IT consultant, Samantha felt she needed to find a creative outlet. It was when she discovered Bonnie Gordon School of Cake Design, Toronto’s top cake school, that she realized she found her true calling - creating edible art.
Constantly striving for perfection, Samantha always seeks to learn from the best in the industry. She has further studied with Debbie Brown, Browen Webber, James Rosselle, and Marina Sousa.
Samantha’s creations are the result of her love of art, fashion and architecture. Her edible creations are truly works of art, with a fresh individual twist. Her work have been praised by Toronto’s top cake designer, Bonnie Gordon, for its original and meticulous style, and the Wedding Bells Magazine and Toronto Life Wedding Guide 2011 have published her work. Samantha has also won the thrid prize in the CSSA Wedding Cake Competition in 2007 for her unique wedding-dress style wedding cake. She was invited to compete among Canada's up and coming cake designers at the Royal Wedding Cake Competition on The Marilyn Denis Show on April 29, 2011.
